Our Q&A with Amy:
What year did you start doing nails?
I left school at 16 and went to study beauty therapy, which I did for 2 years. Once I completed my manicure training, I booked on to do my first Gelish® course in 2014
What inspired you to do nails?
The Creativity!! I love that no day is ever the same and the challenge of never knowing what we are going to be doing client to client!
What motivated you to join the Gelish® team?
I fell in love with the products from my very first course and have continued to use them ever since. I love being part of a talented team of techs, where we can share tips and tricks, bounce ideas off each other and chat all things NAILS! Being part of Team Gelish® is a dream come true!
How long have you been an Educator for Gelish®?
What is your favourite part of nails and teaching nails?
It is hard to pick a favourite part, I absolutely love ALL things nail related – from sculpting a French manicure to painting character nail art – I love it all!
My favourite part of teaching is being able to pass on my knowledge and skills that I’ve learned throughout my journey as a nail tech. I love connecting with students and helping them progress through their own nail career along the way. I love helping students discover new skills. I always believe that we are never done learning, there is always new techniques and skills to learn no matter how much or how little experience you have!
What is your goal?
I would love to one day create nails for a cover shoot and do some session work! Nail art is a huge passion, and I would love to further my skills, I hope to one day also push myself and enter some competitions.
Gelish® are so excited to have Amy onboard as our one of our newest Master Educators, her nail art and freehand creations are simply stunning and she is a true artist that strives for perfection.
