Meet Gelish Educator – Natalie Henson 

Location: Barwell, Leicestershire

Hello I’m Natalie, and I am excited to kickstart your nail career at wherever you are in your journey. A little bit about me, I started my Nail and Beauty career in 2007 and absolutely love everything about the industry. 

I started my nail career with acrylic nails after being curious about nail extensions and how they worked. I continued to develop and build my portfolio of treatments by working through my beauty therapy level 2 & 3 which awarded me Beauty Therapist of the Year.  This gave me the opportunity to compete in world skills for my Level 3 Beauty. I have continued to put in the hard work on my career by learning from top brands, so when I got the opportunity to open my own salon in 2015 I added Gelish and I can safely say it’s been my greatest asset to my business. My customers love it and I currently use Gelish, PolyGel, Soft Gel, Hard Gel, Structure, Builder in a Bottle and Morgan Taylor. 

During lockdown I wanted to broaden my opportunities in the industry so I decided to give back and go into teaching. I started my AET qualification, to ensure I met the professional standards required for teaching. To be able to help a person start their career or up-skill themselves is so rewarding and I love to be a support network and mentor for others.

What inspired you to do nails?

To be able to make nails beautiful as it’s the one thing you always look at. 

What motivated you to join the Gelish team?

The product is incredible to work with and the marketing is always fresh and current. Plus, the vast amount of colours to choose from. So being able to be a part of the team to actually deliver Gelish training is just awesome. 

How long have you been an educator for Gelish

I qualified in 2023.

What is your goal?

To have a successful training academy (alongside my successful clinic) inspiring the next generation of tech and therapists into the industry and hopefully championing their successes. I love to see people thrive so this makes me very humble. 

Natalie is an astute business woman as well as a talented nail technician whose work has always been of the highest standards. Having Natalie onboard adds a different dynamic to the team and Gelish are proud of her achievements in the UK Hair & Beauty Awards 2023.  Her desire for continuous learning and education makes her a knowledgeable teacher, and students will be inspired by her dedication to reach the next level of her career.

Natalie runs her own training academy @regentbeautytrainingacademy in the East Midlands where she covers all aspects of Beauty as well as Gelish Education.
