Meet Gelish Educator – Samantha Manley 

Location: Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire

My name is Samantha and I LOVE everything nails. My career began in hairdressing when I was  15 years old, from this age I knew my passion was helping my customers look and feel fantastic and this was my calling!  The salon started to offer nail services, and I knew this was my stepping stone to the next level, I couldn’t wait to further my career within the nail industry, I had a passion for nails from this day on.

I have been a nail technician for 27 years and the one thing that keeps me dedicated to this career path is the constant innovation within nails. 
The thought of being able to help the future generation of nail tech’s excel in this amazing industry fills me with the determination to succeed and educate you to the highest standard.

Our Q&A with Samantha:

What inspired you to do nails?

After a short time away working in retail for a hair and beauty supplier, I could see how popular nails were becoming again, Gel Polish was just beginning to launch here in the UK and Gelish offered courses where I was working, I knew then how amazing this was going to be and couldn’t wait to get involved again. 

What motivated you to join the Gelish team?

I loved what Gelish offered, what it stood for, and I couldn’t wait to begin training again and refreshing my skills.  I enjoyed working my way through all the courses Gelish had to offer but Gel Polish will always be my favourite. 

How long have you been an educator for Gelish?

I have just recently qualified as part of the Excel 2023 Educator Training event which was amazing. 

What is your favourite part of nails and teaching nails?

I love training and always improving my skills and decided this year that I would love to be able to offer what I have to others so I began my educator training, I want nail techs to begin their careers with the wealth of knowledge I had, and I want to watch them grow with confidence. The idea of being a lifelong mentor really appeals to me as students need support beyond the time of their course. 

What is your goal?

Education is the key to the future and I’m super excited to see where this journey is going to take me! 

We are thrilled to have Samantha join us as part of the Gelish Master Educator team as someone who has grown her passion and love for nails into a true skill and talent as well as a successful career as a nail technician across Soft Gel, Acrylic and Soak Off Gel Polish. 

Samantha runs her own her own home salon N70 in Princes Risborough.
