Meet Gelish®® Master Educator – Thi Jackson

Location : Swanley, Kent

Hi! I’m Thi.  From a young age, my passion has always been nails, I would spend hours painting them to perfection! Since 2001 when my career started, I have never stopped pursuing my dreams. I have taken many courses learning about the endless techniques as I’ve always told myself “knowledge is the key to success”. 

There are constant changes in our industry which makes it important to keep up to date with all nail systems and trends. Being in this industry allows me to express my creativity and follow what’s trending via social media platforms.

In 2015 I made a decision to expand my knowledge and become an educator. I quickly realised that all I wanted to do was pass on my skills and  the knowledge I have gained over the years to create the next generation of ambitious people who are ready to take over the industry. I love seeing my students’ progress and succeed, this brings me a sense of joy. 

With my love for Gelish® products I was overwhelmed to join the team in 2017. I was super grateful for the all the opportunities they have given me, from working at beauty shows to working on TV such as Xfactor & Love Island!

Our Q&A with Thi:

What inspired you to do nails?

For as long as I can remember, I always painted my nails. I loved exploring different colours and being creative.

What motivated you to join the Gelish® team?

When I first used Gelish® gel polish it was a game changer. Long lasting and chip free, I fell love with the whole Gelish® range of products.

How long have you been an Educator for Gelish®?

I’ve been a Gelish® Master Educator for 4 years.

What is your favourite part of nails and teaching nails?

All of it, the difference it makes to someone’s hands puts a smile on my face and watching my students discovering they can do it is so rewarding. 

What is your goal?

To share my knowledge and skills with others as the nail industry is big enough for all of us to grow together. 

Thi’s career started 21 years ago as a nail technician in her first nail salon in London and continues today as a Founder & Managing Director of House of Beaute, a boutique Beauty Academy Salon in Kent. Her salon offers nail services, brows, lash extensions, SPMU and serves as a training academy.

Her passion for Gelish® products has led to her wanting to teach all aspect of nail enhancement. This includes nail designs, PolyGel, SoftGel, Gelish® dip system, ProHesion and Gelish® Gel Polish application.

This has opened the door for her to be able to work with some of today’s strongest, leading people on screen and stage including Wiz Kid, Judi Love, Fleur East, Jenny Ryan, Black Bear to name but a few and working on productions for X Factor & everyone’s guilty pleasure Love Island.

Her nails have featured in Scratch Magazine, the world’s leading nail magazine and she has cemented her status as a leading nail authority within the beauty industry.
